Uncle Michael's Beach

The much anticipated trip to Uncle Michael's Beach took place on Sunday afternoon. Can I just say that it did not disappoint!

The beach we visited was Assateague Island in Maryland. There are wild horses on this island and we did get to see a couple on the way in. After dark, our dog was barking at something in the distance and it turned out to be three horses. I was glad the dog was tied up or he might have tried to herd them.

There are no pictures of Abby actually in the water because she was not too fond of it. It was a litle cold but I think it was the waves that intimidated her. She did, however LOVE. THE. HUGE. SAND. BOX! She loved digging and pouring and digging some more. Mommy was the "water girl."

Uncle Michael built a fire on the beach, and we roasted marshmallows. Yum!

After an afternoon in the sun and an evening around the campfire, Abby was a little tired (and grumpy).

We had so much fun! Thank you Uncle Michael and Aunt Melissa! We will remember this for a long time.
