Our local Rec Center has a Rec Olympics for kids once a year. I have heard about it before, but this was the first year we participated. It was fun, but we probably won’t do it next year. Abby was in the 7 & 8 year old girls group and she was the smallest one. I was with Abby in her group and Daddy took Sarah around to her activities in the 3-yr-old group. Sarah was a little grumpy right after church and did not enjoy all the standing around waiting for her turn. When they were playing, it was fun. Maybe we’ll just take them to the rec for some fun on an off day.
Shooting hoops – love that hang time.
Getting ready to swim her lap. Abby said this was her favorite part of the day.
Waiting in line. She doesn’t even come to the shoulder of the girl behind her. Wow!
Coming through the tube in the obstacle course.
No First, Second or Third place ribbons but they did get the Participation ribbons.
The next morning, Abby had a fever and a bad cough so I took her to the Dr. She has the flu… yuck! So we spent the next few days on the couch. She didn’t have to miss school, though, because it was cancelled for snow. She’s feeling much better now and if they don’t cancel tomorrow, she’ll probably be back in school. Sarah, THANKFULLY, has not gotten sick. She’s just been bouncing off the walls cause she hasn’t been out of the house in several days.

I hope you haven't gotten the flu! My two youngest had the flu for a week several days ago. We will definitely all be getting the flu shot next year.
I hope your half marathon training continues to go well. That is my favorite racing distance. You will love the race!
