Today, we went to a Jade store, the Great Wall, a Cloissone store, the Olympic Stadium and an Acrobat show. Whew! I'm tired. And everything still feels like it is in motion. I don't like being dizzy, so I'm hoping it will settle soon.
I thought I was in pretty good shape until we started climbing today. Man! Those stairs were steep!! We went to a different place on the Wall than we did when we were here 4 years ago. We were able to do a loop around one portion. Abby and Belle, my niece, we keeping a pretty good pace. When they got to the "castles", they would climb up and that would give Billy and I a chance to catch up to them. And then, off they'd go again. Abby was amazing! We climbed for about an hour and a half.
We found out, there is another family in our group that is going to the same province as us. They are adopting a six-year-old little girl. I bet she and Abby will have fun!
We were able to go into the Olympic Stadium, but they had the grounds all covered with something, so we really couldn't take a lap around the track like we wanted. Oh, well. I guess the Wall was exercise enough for one day.
Tomorrow, we go the Forbidden City (more and more walking!) and also a Silk Factory. I hope to find some pretty outfits for Abby and Sarah. We will also have lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. Then it's on to the airport, again, to fly to Nanning.
"Unlce Zhou" is holding Abby.
I put a video on the Flat Panda blog. I love the end where Abby says, "We beat you guys!!"
